Capital City Song Writers, Summer 2024
Welcome to "Capital City Song Writers," a four-week summer program designed to ignite the musical passion in youth ages 6-16. Held in Hartford at Soul Cube Studios, this in-studio songwriting and recording workshop meets once a week for an hour and a half, offering an opportunity to work hands-on with industry professionals. Participants will dive into the creative process, from crafting original songs to recording them in a professional studio setting. This immersive, fun, and educational experience is the perfect way to jumpstart your child's career in music today.
Our summer program runs from July 24 to August 15. We meet every Thursday with two time slots available: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM or 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM. You can choose your preferred time slot on the registration form.
Make Waves founder Aaron Moynihan brings 20 years of industry experience as a mix engineer, producer, studio owner, and educator. Currently teaching multiple recording and production courses at The University of New Haven and CT State Community College, Aaron continues to be dedicated to sharing his expertise with the next generation.
